Artist Biography
Nicole was born and raised in the Dallas community, and graduated from the University of Kansas in 2004 with a BFA in Painting. She co-curates the Magnolia Gallery with her husband and owns a furniture refinishing company called Modern Relics. Nicole is working on a series of oil paintings that focus on anthropomorphism and exploring the similarities between animals and human personalities. By focusing on draftsmanship and detail, she incorporates techniques learned from her experience in the design industry as tools in her paintings and sculpture. Nicole has recently created a series of installations in collaboration with La Reunion TX that focus on ecological issues in the local Dallas community.
