Nicole was born and raised in the Dallas community, and graduated from the University of Kansas in 2004 with a BFA in Painting. She co-curates the Magnolia Gallery with her husband and owns a furniture refinishing company called Modern Relics. Nicole is currently on the board of La Reunion TX, an artist residency in Oak Cliff and also the artist coordinator for Art Conspiracy. Nicole has recently created a series of installations that focus on ecological and cultural issues. In addition to curating the Magnolia Gallery with her husband, Scott Horn, she is affiliated with Art Conspiracy, La Reunion TX, Better Block, bigBANG! TX, IndieGenius, Aurora Dallas, and the Ross-Akard Gallery, among others.
